Over 20 years treating everyone from professional athletes to weekend runners, office workers and everyone in between — currently Lead Academy Physiotherapist at Northampton Saints RFC.
Elite-sport standards, for every client
Tracey Russell is a Chartered Physiotherapist with over 20 years' experience treating everyone from professional athletes to weekend runners, office workers and everyone in between.
Tracey currently works as Lead Academy Physiotherapist at Northampton Saints RFC, and has previously led medical services for Wasps Academy and Nottingham Rugby, as well as working pitch-side across Premiership rugby, British Canoeing's Olympic programme and county cricket. This elite-level grounding means Tracey brings the same rigorous, evidence-based approach to every client — whatever their goal, whether that's getting back to five-a-side football, recovering from surgery, or simply moving without pain.
Tracey specialises in musculoskeletal injury, complex rehabilitation and return-to-activity planning, including post-concussion care. She holds an MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine from the University of Nottingham and a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Sheffield Hallam University, and remains an active guest lecturer on postgraduate sports medicine and rehabilitation courses — so her practice stays current with the latest research and techniques.
Alongside her clinical work, Tracey has years of experience training and mentoring junior physiotherapists, and is known for taking the time to properly understand each client's problem before building a plan that actually fits their life.
