ADHD Assessment
Full diagnostic assessment for ADHD in children from age 7 and adults — structured clinical interview, validated rating scales, developmental history and collateral information.
£1,150Autism Assessment (ADOS / ADI-R)
Gold-standard autism diagnostic assessment using ADOS-2 and ADI-R protocols. Typically 3–5 hours across sessions, including developmental history with a parent or informant where available.

Extended assessment covering both ADHD and autism in one integrated pathway — appropriate where both conditions are suspected, as they frequently co-occur.
£2,450Cognitive Assessment
Standardised cognitive assessment producing a full intellectual profile — verbal comprehension, visual-spatial reasoning, working memory and processing speed. Conducted in person only.
£1,300Learning Disability Diagnostic
Comprehensive learning disability assessment combining standardised cognitive testing (in person) with functional and adaptive behaviour assessment (online) for a complete diagnostic picture.

Every diagnostic assessment begins with a pre-assessment screening. This is not an appointment — you complete a set of questionnaires in your own time, and our psychologist reviews them and gives you a written decision on whether a full assessment is appropriate.
How it works
- You select the screening you need and pay the £185 fee through our online booking system.
- Your screening questionnaires arrive automatically once payment is received, matched to the screening you selected.
- You complete the questionnaires in your own time. These cover your background, your current difficulties, and why you believe you or your child may have the condition in question. There is no appointment and nothing to attend.
- Our psychologist reviews everything you have submitted and forms a professional judgement on whether a full diagnostic assessment is clinically appropriate.
- You receive the outcome by email within 5 working days of returning your completed forms, to the address you registered with us:
- Yes — a full assessment is likely to be helpful. You are invited to book, and your £185 is deducted from the assessment fee.
- No — a full assessment is not advised. You receive a professional letter explaining the reasoning and what we would recommend instead.
Why we screen first. A full diagnostic assessment is a significant commitment of time and money. Reviewing your information first means you are not paying for an assessment that was never likely to help — and if you do go ahead, you are not paying twice. Either way, a qualified psychologist has reviewed your case and given you a documented professional opinion.
Please note: the £185 fee is non-refundable. It pays for the psychologist's review of your information and the written opinion you receive — whichever way that opinion goes. It is deducted from the cost of a full assessment only if screening advises proceeding and you go on to book one.

Assessment prices are the full fee. Where you have completed the £185 pre-assessment screening and are advised to proceed, that £185 is deducted — so an ADHD assessment costs a further £965, and an autism assessment a further £1,765. Payment plans can be arranged — please ask when you enquire. Where medication may be appropriate following an ADHD diagnosis, treatment and titration are charged separately through our ADHD service.

How it works
Pre-Assessment Screening
Complete the screening questionnaires (£185). Our psychologist reviews them and emails you the outcome — whether a full assessment is advised, and if so which one.
Booking & Rating Scales
If advised to proceed, you book your assessment — less the £185 already paid. You and, where relevant, a parent, partner or teacher complete standardised rating scales beforehand.
Assessment Sessions
Your assessment is completed — online by secure video, or in person where standardised cognitive testing is required.
Report & Feedback
Your full written report is prepared and shared, followed by a feedback session to discuss the findings and next steps.
Practical details
- ADHD assessment is available online from age 7 upwards
- Autism assessment is available from age 13 to adulthood, and is conducted face to face in Nottingham city or Nottinghamshire
- Cognitive assessments must be conducted in person, as the standardised test materials cannot be validly administered over video
- Learning disability assessments are hybrid — functional and adaptive components online, cognitive testing in person
- In-person assessments take place across Nottingham city and Nottinghamshire. Autism, combined ADHD + autism, cognitive and learning disability assessments all require attendance in person — venue details are confirmed by our admin team once your assessment is booked
- For children and young people, a parent or guardian must consent and take part in the developmental history

Legal and tribunal work: we can prepare reports for SEN tribunal and family law proceedings. Please tell us at the enquiry stage if a report is required for legal purposes, as this may affect format, timescales and fee.
Not sure what happens next?
A diagnosis often raises as many questions as it answers. Many parents tell us that once they have a report, they still don't know what to do with it — how to approach the school, what support their child is entitled to, or what an EHCP application actually involves.
You do not have to work that out alone. If your child has been diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental condition or another health condition and you are unsure how to secure the right educational support, we can signpost you to specialist SEN education advisers and legal professionals who work in this area every day.
They can advise on Special Educational Needs (SEN) support in school, Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) applications and reviews, requesting an assessment from your local authority, and what to do if an application is refused or the support offered falls short.
How this works: our role is clinical. We provide the assessment and the report; independent SEN advisers and solicitors handle the educational and legal side. We simply point you towards them so you know where to turn — there is no obligation to use anyone we suggest. Just ask at your feedback session, or contact our team at any time.
Being open with you: no money is paid or received for these introductions. We do work alongside some SEN advisers and legal professionals who also refer families to us for assessment, so referrals can flow in both directions. We tell you this simply so you have the full picture — it never affects our clinical opinion, and you are free to use any adviser you choose.
